All the children and
families at Casa de los Angeles are grateful to the runners.
One special someone, Antonio, is particularly cheering for Jeff.
Antonio lives with his younger
sister and mom in Santa Clara, the Casa de los Angeles apartment
building. They used to used to live in the town of San
Luis Potosi, but Antonio's mother couldn’t find work there. They
came to San Miguel de Allende two years ago and were sleeping in
the bus station until Sr. Miguel, the director of Casa de los
Angeles found us. Now life is better.

I can run for miles and miles -
and now we just added a marathon to my list of things to do
before I die. I coach over at University of St. Francis, I told
one of my Senior runners that if she signed up for the marathon
that I would too, thinking she would never sign up. Well, she
did. I signed up on day 1 and haven't looked back since.
Shortly after my brave announcement on Facebook, Kevin O'Donnell
contacted me to run for TEAM CASA. I was looking to run for a
charity anyway, so why not run for Team Casa? Casa holds a
special place in my wife's heart, as she accompanied Kevin on a
trip back when we were seniors at North Central. She still
talks about going back frequently, possibly as early as this
summer. So if you can spare a few bucks, please do. It's
really important that this place stay open for these kids. Your
help will not go unnoticed. I will send an official update of
how I ran shortly after I am able to walk again :) By the
way - I'm also looking to qualify for the Boston Marathon, so
I'm shooting for 3 hours, 10 minutes. Thanks for your
continued support and prayers. God Bless!
